CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY PARTY COMMITTEE

This party is held in December. Our first annual was held in 2006. The party was held at the Raushkolb's home since the lighting at the pool parking lot is not adequate. We have a horse and wagon ride through the neighborhood to view all of the lights. There is hot beverages and food back at the house to warm up with. This is a great time to catch up with your neighbors that you don't get to see too often when the weather is cold. Committee members and a Chairperson are needed for Holiday Party 2010. If you are interested, please contact the Board. A traveling binder is available to whomever would like to take this committee on.

LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE

The PRRA Board is always looking for volunteers to join this committee. The committee provides ideas, designs and insight into what type flowers are needed each year around the monument signs. Each year the Board will hire a landscape company to maintain our common areas and this includes installing and maintaining the design that the committee comes up with. Final decisions on design are of course subject to budget constraints. Please Contact the Board if you wish to serve on this committee, or act as a Chairperson.

LUMINARY COMMITTEE

The luminaries have been lit on Christmas Eve of each year, starting in 2007, which marked a new beginning for this neighborhood tradition. This committee is responsible for collecting orders from the neighborhood, getting the supplies and preparing the orders for pick up or delivery. Committee Members are needed for 2012. Contact Jane Lundwall at jane.lundwall@polorunrec.org.

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE

Polo Run attempts to issue a quarterly newsletter to the community. It is sent by email, unless requested as a hard copy. It features current news, public notices, and relevant reports from Committees, the ARC and the Board. Someone is needed to step forward and take on this editor job. If you are interested, please contact the Board.

POOL COMMITTEE

Polo Run maintains a committee whose members are responsible for the opening and closing of the pool during the summer. There is a schedule created so that no one person spends too many days/hours at this. If you are interested in serving in this capacity please contact the Board. This committee also keeps an eye out for "after hours" visitors who jump the fence for a late night swim. This is something that all of we homeowners should be watching for. If someone is encountered, just ask them to promptly leave as it is our neighborhood policy to call the police if they do not. A 2012 Chairperson is also needed for this committee.

4th of JULY COMMITTEE

The committee is responsible for scheduling "The Fire Engine" for the parade and traditional spraying of water, publicity, the picnic lunch and games at the pool. (There is a traveling binder available from years past to help with the planning). Committee members and a Chairperson are needed for 4th of July 2012 event. Please contact the Board if you are interested in this opportunity.

Polo Run Clubs

BOOK CLUB

All residents of Polo Run are invited! The Book Club meets every other month at 7:00 p.m. in a members home. We read a variety of authors to hopefully include many interests. Each January we tentatively plan our yearly list of books that we plan to read—giving each member the opportunity to read ahead. We welcome everyone to read with us…It is a great way to meet your neighbors. Contact Kathy England at 303.730.1339.

DINNER CLUB

The Dinner club is a social club where you meet in individuals homes with a total of 4 couples for dinner approximately every other month and have dinner themes. Two such examples would be: Italian or Brunch.

Dinner club is open to all Polo Run homeowners and everyone is welcome to join! This is a great time to meet new neighbors as well as continue to nurture relationships with individuals you have met before. A tremendous effort is made to rotate people so that you have new couples to eat with at each new dinner. If you are an individual homeowner, you are also encouraged to join! Please contact Sharon at 303.706.9422 or email her at Sharon Scott if you have questions or would like to participate.
